In continuation of his good gesture towards the people of Ondo and Edo States, Mr. Olusegun Adetuwo, popularly known as ‘Showboy’ has again rolled out another round of palliatives for the good people of Idanre, Ondo and Irele respectively.
In a chat with Ikale Voice Online, Mr. Adetuwo, the Group Managing Director of Showboy’ Group of Companies said he decided to distribute palliatives to help the people, most especially the less privilege survive the tides of lockdown occasioned by COVID-19.
According to him, distribution of palliatives started out last week in some parts of Akure, Irele, Ore and also in Edo States and as a follow up to the response received, Showboy’ Foundation decided to put together another round in order to reach out to more people in villages and suburbs.
While noting that the distribution will be done house-to-house in order to maintain social distancing, Mr. Adetuwo said as part of his corporate social responsibility to the people, he had in the last 10 years been giving back to the people.
“For the past 10 years, I have been doing this though not in large scale but this time around, I am deliberate about reaching the downtrodden.”, he added just as he called on other well meaning Nigerians to also take advantage of the opportunity and reach out to the people in their own little way.
The Showboy’ palliatives bag for distribution contained Rice, Beans, Garri, Tomatoes paste, toiletries, pack of Sugar cubes, Groundnut Oil, Spaghetti, Indomie, Wheat and Semo bags.
The six truck load of palliative were shipped to five communities in Ondo State and one in Edo State.
Meanwhile, Mr. Adetuwo has pointed that villages in Irele Local government area of Ondo State should expect another round of palliative this coming week.
