Ode – Omi Kingdom, a community in Irele local government gets a new King, HRM Oba Akinyelure Olorunsola Ajiboye Akinyelure III, the Odogbo of Omi Kingdom gets officially crowned Thursday 6 August, 2020 in a grand ceremony.
The traditional coronation ceremony which stretch across days with a purification ritual ended with an official coronation on Thursday. The King will was presented with royal regalia, ancient orders, weapons of sovereignty, and receive an audience of honored guests. HRM Oba Akinyelure Olorunsola Ajiboye Akinyelu III became a fully-fledged king on Thursday.
The ceremony also showcased all political leaders from all the parties from the state and grassroots as the audience shared their joy seeing that all political leaders in the region came together to celebrate Oba Akinyelure.
Oba Akinyelure Olorunsola, Ajiboye Akinyelu III was born on the 10th of February, 1965 to the Royal family of Akinyelure in Omi, Irele Local government area of Ondo state.
The presentation of the staff of office to the new King was done by the Executive Governor of the state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN as represented by the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Mrs. Lola Fagbemi.
Kabiyesi holds a postgraduate diploma degree PGD in journalism and Public relations and had worked with different media organizations and corporate companies.
He previously served as legislative Aide to the Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Boluwaji Kunlere in the 7th Assembly.
Oba Akinyelure is very humbly, accommodating and down to earth.
Speaking with our correspondent, HRM Oba Akinyelure Olorunsola gaves glory to God Almighty for the priviledge of making the coronation a reality.
He further appreciate the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for his interest in developing Ondo State grassroots communities.
