The Executive Chairman of Idanre Local Government, Prince Kayode Adebambo Aroloye had recently warned Nigerian leaders to be very careful of what they are told by their followers.
Prince Aroloye who gave the warning when he was receiving Ketewa Festival Planning Committee in his Office in the Local Government Secretariat, said that some followers deliberately spread false information and rumors in order to create disaffection, cause chaos and thus retard development.
He made the assertion to disabuse the mind of the Committee of an unfounded rumour that a popular politician in the state was not in support of the festival because of what they called his “body language towards the annual festival.”
He wondered why people should read negative meanings and diabolic interpretations to things.
The Idanre born Prince assured the Committee of his personal and official supports towards the successful celebration of the festival which is slated for Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th December 2020
He lauded the Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Yemi Olowolabi, for his unrelenting efforts to promote the cultures and traditions of Ondo State people and also specifically for his initiative on Idanre Unity Festival that had now become the “Ketewa Cultural Festival”.
He described Ketewa Festival as a laudable project which all well meaning sons and daughters should embrace as he pledged to ensure it succeeds so much that people will subsequently be eagerly looking up to future editions.
Earlier, Mr. Agbelusi Ganiyu, the Secretary of the Planning Committee who led the 10man delegation, had given the letter seeking the supports of the Local Government Administration and also a branded face cap of Ketewa Festival to the Honorable Chairman and the LG. Chairperson. In attendance was also the Director of Local Government Administration, Mr. Olajide Dipo, who pledged his support to the programme.
