Here is why Irele Council Boss Orders Arrest of Parents over Child Right Abuse

In the Cause of the just concluded IRELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT 2020, Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Ajimotokin Olusegun has discovered some out of school children who are gallivanting the nooks and crannies of the Community stealing and carry out inimical activities most especially in occasions like funeral or wedding reception.

These Children who are between the age of 6 to 15years manifested their dastardly act when the just concluded Summit was going on.

The Hon. Chairman ordered the arrest of their parents for violating Child Right abuse act and negligence of their responsibility which lead the Children to the Street.

From the information gathered so far, some of these Children have run away from home for weeks engaging in begging people for money, stealing, smoking and carrying out all sort of social vices.

They have no home except for the streets and may move from place to place, living in shelters and abandoned buildings.

According to the Chairman, Rehabilitating these children, reunites them to their family and register them to Schools or vocational training centre is crucial in order to prevent the future adverse effect of whatever their condition can degenerate into.

The next line of actions according to the Local Government Chairman on the arrested Children’s Case would be communicated later.

He implored all parents to stand up to their responsibility, give adequate care to their children. Henceforth, Irele Local Government under the leadership of Hon. (Barr.) Ajimotokin Olusegun would not longer tolerate nonchalant attitude of parents towards their children.
