Federal lawmaker representing Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Ikengboju ‘Dele Gboluga has denied accusing HE Agboola Ajayi of fraud.
Hon Gboluga made this known in a post published late Tuesday on his official facebook handle, ‘ https://www.facebook.com/gboluga.ikengboju.3 ,’ and monitored by Ikale Voice Newspaper.
The post reads, “ My attention has been drawn to a wrongly captioned video on Facebook, likely to be easily misinterpreted by many observers to mean that I accused His Excellency, the deputy governor of Ondo state, Hon. Agboola Ajayi of fraud.
“I have therefore considered it appropriate to set the record straight on the video posted by a certain ‘9ja TV show’.”
“In no section of the interview did I mention the deputy governor or accused him of anything fraudulent. Our Party, the PDP has through its internal mechanism commenced the appropriate enquiry to unravel the alleged malpractice and those involved in it. Hence, it is not in my place to declare anyone guilty.”
He pointed that his words, as captured in the video were aimed at condemning the allege attempt to undermine the smooth and hitherto faultless process of electing a credible candidate for our great Party in the state, and not targetted at any individual.
He further stressed that the report was mischievous, unprofessional and sensational.
“Sequel to the aforesaid, I call on the handlers of the social media page to edit the Post appropriately and apologize for the mischievous unprofessional sensationalism displayed in the said Post,” He said.
