A former Federal lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal constituency and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Eni Omosule has alleged the APC government under the leadership of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of threatening his life and his family for not supporting the second term return bid of the governor.
Omosule who disclosed this to newsmen on Monday through his media assistant, Tolulope Adeyinka said he was surprised that the governor could watch his aides bully innocent people in the ancient town of Owo by cultists fully armed with guns and a vehicle branded for the re-election of Governor Akeredolu.
He accused the governor of allowing his aides to recruit cultists to terrorize the people and those opposed to the second term return bid of Akeredolu in the state.
Speaking on his alleged involvement in yesterday’s attack in Owo by one Olayemi Olamide in the media, Omosule said the alleged pick up van was not in town as at the time the incident happened due to mechanical repair and that himself was out of the state.
According to a reliable source, the clash was between two factional cultists group who alleged the governor of empowering a faction of the group by providing vehicles and ammunitions for their activities in the town.
He lamented the rate at which the governor and his cohorts are planning to malign his image saying all allegations against him were calculated attempts to drag his reputation as a former lawmaker into the mud.
Omosule therefore called on the Inspector General Of Police, IGP to save the lives of his family stressing that numerous threats via calls and messages had been sent to him by the said assailants.
